Electrode tubes are used in small hole EDM drilling machines. They drill workpieces in straight and suitable tolerances. In electrode selection, electrode material and electrode diameter are paid attention. We can offer EDM electrodesthat are suitable for our customers according to workpiece type. Our electrode tubes are available in special or standard sizes.
SINGLE HOLE ELECTRODE TUBES AND MULTICHANNEL ELECTRODE TUBES
Basically, the intended performance of an electrode depends on the type of hole passing through the center of electrodes as different channel types are made for different purposes. The main factor that determines whether an EDM electrode pipe is a single or multi-channel pipe is whether hole to be pierced is a blind hole.
Single Hole Tubes
Single-hole tubes are generally more suitable as price. It is used to drill full holes.
Multi-channel tubes are ideal for drilling blind holes. The inner channels are specially designed for removing pieces of material remaining in a hole.
The following describes types of EDM electrodes according to materials:
Today, more than 70% of the global market prefers to use graphite electrode materials. Fast cutting advantage provides a low-cost operation. In developing technology, graphite electrodes can provide surface smoothness as high as copper.
Brass electrodes can be presented in wire and multi-hole form, including web-type, two holes, three holes, and y-type electrodes. Our brass electrodes can be used with a variety of materials such as mild steel, tool steel, stainless steel, titanium, and hastelloy. Brass electrodes show superior performance in fast processing. Brass electrodes faster than copper, especially it can quickly cut soft materials.
Copper electrodes are preferred for processing high precision products. It provides rapid drilling in hard materials. Our copper electrodes can be used with a wide range of materials such as carbon steel, nitronic 60, carbide, tungsten carbide, molybdenum, beryllium, sintered diamond, silicon ingot, titanium, hastelloy, cauldron, invar, and inconel.
Tungsten Carbide Electrodes
Tungsten carbide electrodes are used when workpieces are very hard, and the copper electrode is not sufficient. Also, it is preferred in drilling small holes.
Silver Tungsten Electrodes
Silver tungsten has high conductivity, so these electrodes can be used in deep holes and precision corners.
Copper Tungsten Electrodes
Copper tungsten electrodes, ideal for deep hole drilling, can cut tough materials via tungsten material.
